On this one I had to repair a broken peghead, which was a fun new experience, and now that it's together I thought I'd see if it looked familiar to anyone. There are no stamps or labels of any kind. The bowl is lined with black cloth, the wood appears to be mahogany all over (I think).

It's really symmetrical, it's just the camera angle.

It is hard to say what wood the bowl is but it looks like an American Conservatory (if circa 1897) or Jupiter/Lakeside (later) (Lyon & Healy brands) model 502 (mahogany) or 503 (rosewood). They switched the brands around as well as some of the specs. The earlier ones listed above had 9 ribs later 18. The start may not be original.

18 ribs, so that puts it as a later model. It's not as dark in RL as the photo makes it look, so I can see the wood well enough to say it can't be rosewood. Does anyone know if Lyon & Healy switched all their bowlback brands from paper to cloth lining at the same time?
