I bought this back in '04 from Tony Williamson. I had gone down to Mandolin Central to look at a Gibson A he had on his website. This 2003 Bell was hanging right beside it. I had to have it. Is anyone familiar with this small builder out of Georgia?? This one has the goods!

I like his take on the headstock design. Looks like a beefy neck, too.

No that i recall it I think there was one guy at the Carlo Aonzo workshop last year who had an F. I thought very unusual.

Is sounds and plays great. It has a nice mellow, woody tone and solid low chop with good volume. Not like my A9, but nice in a different way. It just sounds prettier. I save the Gibson for the rough stuff.

Do you have contact info for this maker? He is not in the DB AFAIK.

I have no info at all. Tony had told me that he had visited Bell's shop in Georgia and like his work, but that's all I know. Was hoping someone here might had met him. BTW, mine is serial number 12 of the A's. Engleman top, curly maple back and sides.

I'm not diggin' the bell head stock, but it is certainly creative. #The rest of the mandolin looks wonderful. #Just my opinion, and I sincerely hope you enjoy it!
