Question about string spacing

Love my new Eastman but slow getting use to the wider string spacing than the Fullerton I started out on. A little wider between each string and between each pair of strings. Top and bottom strings are a lot closer to the edge of the fretboard. Sounds really great but seems a little harder to play. Should I just get use to it or is a modification possible? Anyone know what I'm talking about?

I thought my my 615 had narrow spacing relative to alot of other mandos. I find my eastman a bit cramped for shome chords.

Replace the nut and have it cut the way you like. I regularly do this for folks. I like the courses with tighter spacing and a bit more space at the end of the frets.

And check the spacement at the bridge. Sometimes, it must #be corrected - same time.
