Hey Everyone!

I've been away for a while. I had a beautiful baby boy on Nov.30, 2007. #Yea! He's healthy and happy. #I couldn't ask for anything more and I'm one proud Papa, for sure. #On Feb 28 2008, I welcomed home an even newer addition to my family, a Breedlove Quartz FF Custom. #;)

OMG, this thing rocks. #Piano-like lows, bell-like highs and a wonderful resonance with complex harmonics. (At least thats what I call them) The action is smooth and easy #with the radiused fretboard and large frets and larger spaces. #It came from Breedlove already set-up and the intonation at the 12th fret is PERFECT. #

Fit, finish, quality, beauty. #I'm in love with the sound, the looks, he fretboard and the whole mando overall. #It still smells like the finish. Joy! #

The base price on this is $1499.00 and with the custom black binding, front and back, and the high gloss finish it was $1999.00 from www.themandolinestore.com. #When I questioned whether the gloss finish would dampen the sound, their guy, Brian, helped me decide by playing it over the phone. #My jaw dropped and I was sold. #No doubt. #It's even better in person and it hasn't even begun to open up yet.

Drool.... #Here's some pics.

Congrats on the baby first and foremost!

And nice choice on the FF. I have one and think they're an absolute steal & love mine. I don't know how Breedlove makes 'em so good and sells 'em so cheap.

Congrats! I usually am not too fond of F-style instruments, but that new Breedlove is suuuuu-weeeeeeeeet -- and of all the versions I've seen to date, I especially like yours, with the natural gloss finish and binding.

(I wonder if Breedlove does custom colors? I am thinking that a non-standard color llike yellow, or a Tequila Sunrise-burst, would look great on the FF. #http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mandosmiley.gif )

As a recent purchaser of a satin sunburst FF myself, welcome to the Breedlove fam! IMO they are the best you're going to get at that price...yours sure is unique too! Love the bindings..Congrats, pick on brotha

They do some different colors including an aged Toner color that is pretty neat but I like mine the best...of course. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
