Does anybody remember the comic strip "Gasoline Alley"? #It's been around for something like 400 years, and is still being written.

This week they started a story arc about "Amanda Lynn" and the surprising item on her wedding registry. #The story starts here (http://www.chron.com/apps/comics/showComic.mpl?date=2008/3/3&name=Gasoline_Alley). Click on "Next Day" to step through the panels.

That's great. Author must be a mando fan for F-style and price.

Thanks for sharing this link. I'll be checking tomorrow to see how this develops. Amanda Lynn sounds like a great catch ! Too bad she's already taken ......

Where is Bill van Liere when you need him? Mando-Lynn might know Amanda!

Wasn't there mention of Wayne Henderson in this comic a year or two back?

Yes, I do know Amanda and her brother Samanda. Last I knew Sam (as we now call him) dropped the manda part of his name and changed it to Bush when he moved to Nashville.

Hey, that's cool. Jim Scancarelli is both a fiddler and fan of bluegrass and old time music. He's seen all the time at the Galax fiddler's convention, toting his camera and documenting the event -- and each year Bluegrass Unlimited prints his Galax photo spread in black and white. Quite the artist in many fields.

I have a 6 month old French Bull dog and her name is Amanda Lynn. She runs loose in my music store and is learning to play the mandolin. We're going on the road as soon as I can teach her to play and sing, "How Much is That Doggie In the Window." Kenc

Amanda Lynn is back with her F5 in Gasoline Alley (http://www.chron.com/apps/comics/showComic.mpl?date=2008/5/21&name=Gasoline_Alley). #She also appears to be using a clip-on Intelli tuner.

"Pickin' music is the best way to pick up the spirits."
Couldn't have said it better myself!
