Well finally, here are the pictures of my new Morris A-5 (#118). Please excuse the fingerprints on the finish...but I have not put this thing down since I got it last Wednesday.

I can't believe how loud it is straight out of the box. It feels real similar to my early Breedlove Quartz (gone since 2000). I love the neck..it is comfortable. The upgraded hardware will no doubt help functionally (James Tailpiece, Schaller Tuners). The radiused fretboard and .080 frets are oh so friendly. Overall I am more than pleased...and would expect in the coming months to be more so as it opens up.

I will try to get some soundclips up in the coming days...or weeks.

If you're reading this Mr. Morris, thanks for all of your help, and for building a great mandolin at a price I could afford. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mandosmiley.gif

Congratulations - it looks great! I'm impressed with how Howard's instruments have evolved (visibly, since I've played only one) over just the last couple years. Very nice neck profiles on these mandolins, imo.

Very nice! Did he make the armrest? The flame almost matches the back perfectly!

Yep, Howard made the armrest. First one I've ever had, it makes a difference IMHO.
