Number fifty one is complete. Antoine needed it fast, recorded an album in the white, well, stained anyway. Now she's got her polish on.

Pick up the World, exiting bridge center, through violinish tailpiece.

Can't quite see the oak leaves inlaid in black pearl.. But I kinda like the view from here.

We left the pearloid buttons there. "There's just enough wood"

This maple's mighty old. Reminded me of rare meat as I cut through. Brown on the outside, pink on the inside. Wouldn't know it anymore.

Real beautiful. That is one classy peg head too, and goes well with the tail piece. Lovely.

For those of you who wonder how Brian's instruments sound, here is a musician who'll use one of his instruments "in the white" to make an album. No break in time at all. Wow.

Very nice! How is the tailpiece attached to the body?

I have the feeling that I need to get a Labraid mandolin, quickly, before the prices are wayyyy out of reach. What beautiful work.

Mario, this one uses an adjustable nylon violin cord. I was wary of its strength, but it shows not a sign of fatigue after three months. Previous versions have used synthetic sinew (waxed nylon) with good success.

Simply lovely. How would you describe the tone? Do you have an MP3 of the sound that we could hear. Just a beautiful look, simple elegant, what a job you did.

Sounds every bit as good as it looks!

Note to builders and posters - please post more sound files with all of these beauties!
