Stumbled on a website for Cannon mandolins, located in Louisianna. #Never heard or heard about these. #Anyone have one or more info?

I have heard of some mandolins that were cannons, but I've not heard of Cannon mandolins.

Cannon Mandolin Website (http://www.cannonmandolins.com/index.html) looks like it is a child site to "parent site" of a Keith Davis, violin maker. They make two point Regal shaped mandos in slight arch and full carved versions (amongst some others). Nice looking... never heard of them before.

That website does not appear to have been updated in 2 1/2 years. I wonder if they are still in business.

Not named for the famous football star Billy Cannon?

Wonder what the 1812 Overture sounds like played with a full battery of these? http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
