I plan on keeping it, honest.
One piece Sitka top with super tight grain, it's very old growth.

Another shot of it. It has Quilted maple from Bruce Harvie.

How about a better/bigger picture of the top?

Trying to get a shot of the glow of the wood, especially on top.

Kind of an overview of the complete package. Wish I had some decient light here in the Northwest to take pictures with but we have had tons of rain and it's been a very dark wet Winter so far. Some day I'm going to take the time to explore taking pictures that really please me and look like what I see.

I like how the armrest matches the headstock, very sharp.

That's a nice one, Keith.

I hope you do keep it, seems your "keepers" "keep" gettin' sold! But that's a good thing too.

That's lovely, and cool tailpiece by the way. I think I might have gotten the previous "keeper", #37, a very similar A style shipped around Halloween 2007. Wow it's a heck of an instrument, I really couldn't be happier with it. I wouldn't blame Keith if he had wanted to keep it. I've been meaning to put up a review and some photos, but haven't found the time, maybe this weekend I'll get to it.

Very nice, Keith. Is this the sister to mine that you mentioned? It must sound pretty good if that's the one you kept. Mine is getting lots of play (for the week I've had it) and is really growing on me. I'll post a review, photos, and mp3s soon, too. Very nice work. Oh, and I really like my Solar tailpiece. It's a lot more substantial than photos lead one to believe.

Best,
Ken

Yes Ken it was the one I built at the same time and is the same features/colors. I kept this one because I'm partial to Quilted maple.

This is a beautiful mandolin, Keith. The great looking woods and finish color are nicely complimented by the tortoise bindings. The whole package is wonderful.

Same goes for #37. As I mentioned above that I'd put up some photos, I finally did.

Keith, you have any recordings yet? I'd love to hear what your mandolins sound like.
