Another skill builder. I had a couple of boards left over from some re-sawing. So I got to join, carve, bind and finish my F5 clock. The piece is 10" x 7 1/2" x 1/4". Binding and scraping the scroll was enough to make a preacher cuss. It was a good project to gain some experience. Pardon the bad photo.

I'm not sure making too many of these. It took me about a week to do this one. The next may not take as long, but it's a ton of work. I can clearly see why F5's cost so much more.

I think I'm hopeless on timing, but the clock is good for 60 bpm.
The boards used were from re-sawing for this project. I finally got to use my new 14" band saw. I'll have to try binding one of these sometime.

Glad you asked Stanley. It's a 14" Jet with the 6" riser blocks. The 1/2" 3 tooth blade cut through ebony and maple like butter. I've only resawed up to 8" wide with it and it did great.
