Shad, did you buy your Weber STE from Dennis Vance of The Mandolin Store? Nice looking mandolin. Good price too!

Can someone tell me the difference between the STE line and the regular Webers? I think I remember reading about it being a marketing thing but I can't remember totally...

Nice looking instruments, to be sure! http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

And, on a related note, it's a great looking strap!

What is it and where did you get it?

Shad, nice mando! Saw two on the Mandolin Store sale and was sorely tempted to get one for my friend who now has the bug. Looks like you got that real nice one with the figured back...sweet!

I'll bet the fit and finish is super, as well as the sound. The more you play it and examine it, the more you will smile at how much quality you got at that price.

L.I. : The braided strap is from Loren Bailey. He does good work and is nice to do business with.

Garnet: there is a thread "Weber ste prototypes" in general discussions with some comments on the STE line.
