Hello guys,
this is my latest creation. As ususally the mandolin left the house couple hours after first stringing.
Sitka/red maple. All hide glue, oil varnish/french polish.
Simple style with white binding and no elaborate inlays.

It already has some fingerprints and dust on headstock and back/top...

Looks pretty darn clean. Good job.
I think the mando is a bit darker in reality. The last two close-ups of front and back scroll are close. All pics were taken with flash so there is prhaps a bit of color shift towards red, too.

Very nice work. Elegant. Reminds me of some Davis F5's I've seen with a similar finish/binding treatment. Nice job!

Extra fine work there Adrian! I'm sure the new owner will be thrilled with this one. #8 appeared so very clean in the white but now it has really come alive. Fantastic effort. I bet it sounds even better than it looks. Just so the readers know, Adrian does build a fancier version F5 and here is my #7 for reference purposes-

Scrimshawed Eagle in Pearl. Burl inlay for the Eagle's chest.
Adrian is the model builder to work with. Excellent communication, keeps on schedule and is font of knowledge. I learned a lot from him during #7's building process. Can't say enough good things about him as a builder and he's a person of fine character. Nope.
They are both 3.2mm+ at the holes. It's just optical illusion.
And... I was actually couple months late on delivery. Originally I thought I could finish it in late summer but things happen... moving to new apartment, marriage etc. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
I've got three more in works that I thought would be ready by the end of this year. But with my current average of 2 mandos per year I have to really increase my building speed.
