Just got this strung up with some old used strings to test it out. Just got back to building due to a lot of illness in the family

Here are some sound clips I put up on youtube of it. It has only been strung 2 hours when these were taken and it sounds much better in person then you see here but not bad for the first few hours of it's life with used strings. I used a cheap CVS drug store video camera for these. My friend Carl is a lefty, so I ran over to his house and asked him to play this as soon as I strung it up and tuned it. He plays the Guitar, so he is a little rusty on the mandolin he says, but I thought he did a great job.

I'm gonna have to get a little rust for my tremolo! My goodness that does sound nice, and not even starting to get it's full voice yet. Very very nice Bill! And I'd sure like to hear Carl on guitar! Thanks for posting.....Mike

Thanks Mike. The back is quilted maple and it looks fantastic when wet, but don't show in this picture when dry. My friend Carl can burn up a guitar. He is nothing short of fantast on it. He is one of those guys that can play any instrument he picks up, but he is scary on the guitar! I'll video him some time and put it on YouTube to thrill every one who likes guitars.

She surely is purty. Send us more pix when she's all dressed and ready to go out.

I think I'm almost partial to the 'natural' look. A little gloss and I wouldn't be mad at it, just like that! =]

The back looks great.

That thing is gonna be sweet when it gets a bit of color added!
