Here are some pictures of my latest A style. What a great sound! I used a one piece Sitka top from Bruce Harvie at Orcas Island Tonewoods and a one piece back from Old Standard Woods (Thanks John Griffon). This one has the Carbon fiber rod in the neck (two of them) and a carbon fiber insert in the center of the ebony bridge top.
The sound is woody and changing as it opens up. I played in at a session last night and the sound was very different from the beginning to the end.

These next two were taken to try to show the grain changing color as you rotated the instrument. THe pictures are of the same area but just from different angles.

Keith, I really love your A's. (I never said that to a guy before) http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif

Checked out your webpage and really dig the headstocks as well. (Gee there I go again)...

I like the scalloped point at the end of the fingerboard, very nice touch and a great look keeping the whole instrument symmetrical.
