All-
Can anyone recommend an instructor for a beginner near Philadelphia? I've been playing mando religiously for 4 years, but I have no musical backround and feel like I have come up against a technical wall.
I found John M. Seneta on the Cafe index. Can someone give me some insight on him as an instructor?
Thanks a lot.

linguist - what type(s) of music are you interested in playing? And what part of town are you in?

I attend Temple U as a grad student and work there as a researcher, but I live up broad street in Jenkintown. Since I have a car I can make it to most parts of the city with ease. though.
To be honest I'm up for anything. Optimally I'd like to learn jazz/swing/blues but bluegrass/old-time/gypsy/anything would be great.

I took lessons from Joe Todaro at Todaro's Music in Lansdowne. I highly recommend him.
Gawd, if you drive up Broad Street to get home to Jenkintown then you are a brave and patient man!

Heading up to Warminster from Jenkintown shouldn't be too bad. I think John might be your answer.
Who is John in Warminster?

John Seneta, the person Linguist first asked about.
I'm a little slow sometimes. This "Cafe index", is it a listing of instructors?
