Good morning all,

I thought it would be a good day to listen to the Butch and the Nashville Mandolin Ensemble playing "Happy Birthday Bill Monroe" from their "Bach Beatles and Bluegrass" CD.

It is a great tune which was written by David Grissman, in honor of Bill Monroe and played by Butch Baldassari.

It sure sounds good.

Cheers,
Alan Epstein

Yes to that tune. Butch is a tone-meister, much like Grisman.

No doubt! He was the best! There would not be "bluegrass music" without him. His drive, determination, pride in himself and what he was doing, and his faith in God have always impressed me.

We miss you Bill!

Bill was and still is the man! I don't believe we would have the types of music we do without him! He will always be missed!

Great photos Evan. I agree with all of the comments.

Mr. Monroe would have been 96 years old today. If I remember correctly Butch's son Blake Baldassari has a Birthday today also.

Happy Birthday Bill and Blake,

Alan
