Hello,
I am totally new to this site as this is my 1st post but I have been reviewing all the informative info for some time. I thought I would try to post some pics of my latest mandolin. I live in North Carolina and have been building instruments in my spare time for 7 years. #This is my 2nd Mandolin but there are 6 dreadnought guitars between. #This one has a red spruce top and western bigleaf back/sides. #I am really pleased with the sound so far. #Thks

Please scroll down the page to see the pics. #I had trouble posting them to start with.

Awesome looking mandolin! I love the sunburst! I live in Thomasville, NC. I see the water in your pics. In what part of NC are you located?

Excellent for number two. Very clean. How does it sound?

It sounds very good. I have been experimenting with different strings and I think I have settled on the GHS silk and steels. Its got a very loud, bassy chop. The trebles are clear and loud but what Im really enjoying is the midrange. Its nice and woody sounding and the harder you play the louder it gets!!!. I have a backlog of 5 guitars to build but havent gotten much done on them lately because I go to the shop and always end up picking this thing up and playing it instead of working.
