Just wondering who picked up the Hutto from the classifieds earlier this month. If you could send me your impressions of it and maybe a bit of information about the sale. I was sorely tempted but would have needed to move a guitar and mandolin to purchase it and well -- decided not to go there.
Still, I'm really curious about the Hutto and would love to hear about it.
Regards,

Can't help you on that Hutto. #However, Smoky Mtn. Guitars has a cool "The Gibson" Hutto available.

I played my first Hutto at the Charlotte show last weekend. It was an F style from 1993 and the asking price was $9K. It was an awesome mandolin. Strong and woody and easy to play. Chuck

I turned one down last year at the Charlotte show for $800. At the time I did not know it was a Hutto and neither did the eventual buyer until he got it home and saw the name in an inspection mirror. It was made to look like a Loar - easy to tell it wasn't, but still a pretty nice job.
