Here are a couple of reso-mandolins I have. #I just got the spruce top. #The reso experts I know of have never seen a spruce top Model 45 in mando form

Cool! I have no idea why, but reso-mandos always make me think of Jiffy Pop.

Very cool. I'm becoming increasingly interested in resonators myself. Then you have to go and feed the flames. Errr.

Here are the backs.

I find it mildly interesting that Dobro's per se' were supposedly introduced in 1929. #But, the spruce top has Loar style grained ivoroid binding and earlier style worm under tuners

The sunburst one has white celluloid binding and "worm-over" modern tuners.
