Sorry to repost looking for info. I searched the archives and can't seem to get a positive answer about these mandolins construction. Can anyone confirm that a Japanese Aria from the late 70's is it a solid wood mandolin? Has anyone seen one with "The Aria" on the headstock?

Thanks

The Aria f-style mandolins of the 70s were AM420, PM700,780, 800, and M700-1000. The AM series started in the late 80's and mass production from 96 to current. I'm an avid Aria collector. Can you post a picture ? Is it for sale ? You can email me through the site and I'll be willing to give any input, I love duscussing Arias anyway

Just wanted to reply again now that I noticed your mandolin is a M series, I at first thought that you had stated that it was an AM-700. Your mandolin was the entry level for the M series F style mandolins. It's still a very nice mandolin being that it's a Matsumoku made instrument. I would love to see photos of the instrument and would be interested in purchasing if it's for sale.
