Someone give me a simple 1,2,3 step process on posting a picture. It's usually not that big of a deal for me, but this is beginning frustrate me. I know patience is a virtue. Hep Me, Please!

get an account at Photobucket, or an equivalent site, and upload your photos there. Once you do that, you take the IMG code for the picture you want to post and paste that code in your reply. that way you don't have to worry about sizing pics and all that mess.

if you do want to attach where you enter your post, don't hit the preview post button after you have uploaded your photo. just hit ad reply.

1. click on that "ad repy" button
2. click the "browse" button at the bottom
3. find your pic
4. then post it
It needs to be about 400 x 400 and under 70 kb

Personally, I never follow photobucket links from the cafe. Unless you wanted to post a few dozen pictures, I don't think resizing takes much longer and many more cafe members will see your mandolin.

For pictures I take with my camera (5 megapixel) I:

1. Open the image in Microsoft paint
2. Go to the "Image" menu on the toolbar
3. Click "Stretch/Skew"
4. Scale both dimensions down to 25% (this is the perfect size for cafe posting with my camera, depending on the size of your files you might need more or less).
5. Save As a new picture (so I don't lose the original)

This all takes about as much time as the flood control makes me wait between posts anyway.

I've said this before: enough people have trouble with this that it seems like it'd be a good idea to have this kind of advice on a thread pinned at the top of this section rather than buried in other locations.

Nice top. And I also like the way the pick guard is relieved to the same height as the fingerboard extension.
