No, that's not normal: this back has been nailed back on after it had separated. The sunken centre seam is probably some sign of reptile dentistry, too.

Just a little follow up. Asked this seller about the back and got this response
"You are right, there are 10 "nail" tagged on the back. Not sure why it?"
He had a couple of bidders at $400+. Didn't note final bid.
