I can't seem to get a link to this video only, but if you go to the latimes.com (Los Angeles Times) (http://www.latimes.com/) and scroll down to the video clips, you'll find a brief clip of McCartney playing Dance Tonight live in a store.

This was at Amoeba in Hollywood. Crazy line outside, and to add to the madness Paris Hilton made sure to drive by with her tinted windows open (her interview with CNN was right next door).

(Ringo was also in the audience for the show, according to news reports)

Interesting. He was on Larry King two nights ago with Ringo, Yoko and George's wife, promoting the one year anniversary of "Love" the Cirque de Soleil show inspired by the Beatles. At one point on the King show, he brought out the mando and played a bit of "Dance Tonight." It's everywhere.

I love the Beatles, but I CAN'T STAND Circ du soooooo lame. As Kathy Griffin says: "I don't see the entertainment value of watching a man in a clown suit rolling a big ball around stage for a half hour crying Argh. Argh. Argh."

I thought the same thing until my wife drug me to one last year. I came away pretty amazed at the talent of the performers and how hard it is to pull that stuff off. anyway, sorry for the hi-jack.

Santiago:

Have you actually seen a Cirque de Soleil show, live? I can't comment on the Beatles one, I haven't seen it, but I have seen both "Quidam" and "Delerium" and I was mezmerized by each of them. My wife did not want to go to the first one with me, but came away loving it. The second production we went to, there was no argument. I did not see anything like "a man in a clown suit rolling a big ball around stage for a half hour crying Argh. Argh. Argh." Both shows were so fast paced, the action never stayed the same for even 10 minutes, much less 30.

Both shows had all live original music and the bands were some of the best and most versatile I have seen anywhere. GRATUITOUS MANDO CONTENT: One of the band members in "Quidam" plays a Rigel A+ Deluxe on a couple of tunes!

I got to see Ringling Brothers in between the two Cirque shows. Great stuff, to be sure, but it was obvious me that Cirque has taken the art of the circus to a whole new level.
