Ken - is that one bound for Joe in Anchorage? Another beauty!

this is another handstained mando. It's harder to do, but leaves a nice old look, and my fingers old looking too, I can't work with gloves on, sorta like eating a bologna sandwich with wax paper on it.

Not only is this really nice, you seem to work ridiculously fast! I expect a new Silver Angel to admire (in pics, anyway!) at least once a month. #Nice goin'!

Ken, It is amazing how hard you work to put out such fine looking mandolins! You really have the aged look down to an art! Really beautiful!

I agree with Skip. Not usually a big fan of "pre-washed" items but your distressed instruments remind me of a well worn leather jacket that only really fits its' owner. Nice work.

Nice look Ken. How much time do you think it would take to put this finish on one of my new 3/4 upright basses?

Really nice Ken! So what woods are on this one? One piece back, side bound, wow. Is it sold? Does it sound like mine? If it does (the last one #261) someone's gonna be blown away. 261 is huge in everyway, tone, volume and response. Another great job, I'll be calling soon for an 'A'.

This one is Red spruce around 50 years old, side bound and the back is one piece KY red maple. I'd have to have it with yours to compare to know which one sounds better, but it seems that it sounds as good. It goes to a guy in GA that already has a distressed model of mine, guess he needs a back up. By the way, he has a killer CD made with it, all instrumental. PM me if you want his #.

Ken -- nice -- do you have a closeup pic of the headstock inlay? Looks interesting at a distance.

And what would your hands look like afterwards? http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Another very attractive mandolin Ken!
