Are these the ones?

Just Because
Lloyd Price

peak position 29/57

Just because you left and said goodbye
Do you think that I will sit and cry
Even if my heart should tell me so
Darling I would rather let you go

Just because you think that you're so smart
Going around and breaking lovers hearts
Before I let this thing happen to me
Darling I would rather swim the sea

I know you think you're smart
Just going around breaking lovers hearts

Just because I want someone who's kind
With a heart as good and pure as mine
But maybe I am asking far too much
Darling please don't ever break my heart

(musical interlude)

I know you think you're smart
Just going around breaking lovers hearts

Just because I want someone who's kind
With a heart as good and pure as mine
But maybe I am asking far too much
Darling please don't ever break my heart

(musical ending)

...just because you think you got somethin'
nobody else has got...

My Dad used to sing that one. I think I might have a record of somebody's version, but I might be a while trying to find it.

...just because you spend all my money
laugh and call me old Santa Clause,
I'm tellin' you baby I'm through with you,
because, just because.

Just because you think you're so pretty,
And just because you think you're so hot,
Well, just because you think you've got something
That nobody else has got,
You made me spend all my money.
Then you laugh and call me old Santa Claus.

Well, I'm telling you,
Baby, I'm through with you.
Because, well well, just because.

There'll come a time when you'll be lonesome
And there'll come a time when you'll be blue.
Well, there'll come a time when old Santa
He won't pay your bills for you.
You've caused me to lose all my girlfriends
And now, now you say we are through.

Well, I'm telling you
Baby, I'm through with you
Because, just because.

I think there have been Bluegrass versions of this, but that may be just because it was a "hillbilly" music standard in what's now called "Old Time". Should be easy to find; what about the bluegrass lyrics site by the Japanese guy?

Try this:

Click on "J" & scroll down, it's there.

The Shelton Brothers, 1935.

Elvis Presley did it on one of his first sessions for RCA Victor, with Chet
Atkins on guitar.

Ralph and Carter did that one, it's the one I know.

While I was writing my post, I was thinking The Stanley Brothers might have done it.

The song has also been done by the Flying Burrito Brothers and Brenda Lee (http://www.theguitarguy.com/justbeca.htm)

Funny this song came up. We just decided to do it in our group last week as a country swing tune. Why? Well, just because.

That was the first song ever released by Les Paul (http://www.amazon.com/Complete-Decca-Trios-Plus-1936-1947/dp/B000003N4Q), in 1936 on the Montgomery Ward label as "Rhubarb Red."
