A specialized relationship to Friday the 13th: on Friday, Nov. 13, 1829, Sam Patch jumped to his death at the Lower Falls of the Genesee here in Rochester. The "Jersey Daredevil" had made his living doing death-defying jumps into bodies of water, including the Niagara River gorge below the falls.
I usually add Kendrick Shedd's Ballad of Sam Patch to all performances around Friday the 13th. And I still think that Friday the 13th is not a choice day to schedule a dangerous feat...

My wife and I got hitched on Friday, January 13, 1995. Now every Friday the 13th is a "pseudo-versary."

I was not born on Friday the 13th (it was a Tuesday) but my 13th birthday was on Fiday the 13th. This Friday the 13th I turned 58.
