In absence of a genre section on this board:

I am trying to find a source for Mando TAB with Japanese folk music.

mandolinecafe only has one Japanese waltz listing and Mandozine does not seem to have anything. The MelBay's International Mando book and cd only has Sakura (which seems to be based upon a koto version).

Hey, JK245:

I have quite a bit of a collection of Japanese music in notation that I can put into tab. But when you say "folk music", do you mean "Min-yo" --true traditional folk music such as kuroda-bushi or Soran-bushi, or do you mean "Folk" music from the '60's and '70's, such as "Nagori-yuki" or art music, such as Sakura?

I can also probably scare up some Kayokyoku and Gunka if you are interested in those styles.

Let me know what your are interested in, and I'll see what I have. Tell my your favorite tune and I'll see if I can get it for you and post it.
