I think it is Eva Scow, but I can't tell from that video for sure, but here's a photo of her from last year's SF Festival of the Mandolins. #She's great! #I didn't know she played that kind of improv jazz (choro??).

That was my guess... amazing. And that's Assanhado, improv and all.

Don't miss missmeanie's moving tribute to Mariah Carey. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

The 'moving tribute' is here. (http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=missmeanie)
(to clarify: #what song is that? #It's great!)

Great combo all around. #It'd be cool to see their tour extended.

I`m trying to figure out that cool riff that they end on in the video.Anybody else got it? So far I can`t get past the first part and thought if someone knew where the music or tab could be found, I could figure it out. I noticed that the Grisman video didn`t have the riff in it. What a rockin performance!

This part? You work out the time - It's something like this:
---5----------------------------------------------------------------------
-----7-6----12-------------10--------8---------7-------5---------10-11-12-
-7-------12----12-12-11-10----10-9-8---5-5-6-7---7-6-5---5-5-6-7--9-10-11-
------------------------------------------------------------------7--8--9-
The main thing is that jump to the 12th fret.

The rest of the tune we'll have to leave as an exercise. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif

Rewatching the video I think she plays the ending riff an octive lower than the tab which I figured out thanks to the tab. Now I just need someone to play this riff as a twin mando thing. Oh and learn all the rest of the song that leads up to it.:D

It's an octave lower than the tab.
