At the end of last month I was in South Florida selling mandolins at the Everglades Bluegrass Festival. It was nice to personally meet some of the Cafe members that stopped by my booth. To my surprise, I look at the schedule and Rhonda Vincent is appearing. This is a small festival in an Oak Grove setting and seeing and hearing her there was awsome. I though some might enjoy it so I have posted the complete set of photos on www.themandoshop.com (http://www.themandoshop.com) if you would to take a look. Just go to The Mando Shop main page and click on the Rhonda Vincent photo.

What brand and model mando does she play, could not tell from the pictures. Thanks.

There were a bunch of mando players standing at the back with me and we all were asking what kind of mando is she playing. The best I could guess is it said "The Gibson" on the headstock but I was never close enough or at the right angle to be sure. I have written to Rhonda and asked the question. I'll post her reply when I receive it.

I thought she played a Smith Creek?

Rhonda told me she plays a Smith Creek.
She is such a sweetheart, there was audio problem when she started her set. After a few minutes she asked us all to sit up closer so she could play without the amps.

Hi Kyle,

Thanks for posting the photos. Rhonda did a great job at the festival and yes she was playing her Smith Creek mandolin. We had a wonderful weekend with good weather and outstanding bands like the Carolina Rebels, Pine Mountain Railroad, Everett Lily, Randy Khors and the Lites, just to name a few.

It was a pleasure getting to meet you and we appreciate your being there. Thanks for taking the time to look at my Holst C5.

Hello Kyle,

Great to hear from you! Thank you for coming out to the show at Everglades!

I play a Smith Creek Mandolin made by David Smith in Rhode Island.

Hope to see you again soon!

Best,

One of the best bands in bluegrass. Great people too. Looks like she fried her hair a bit in those pics.
