New Zouk

Hey all,
Sorry for the newbie post. Just purchased a Flatiron Zouk 3MB (23in I believe). What strings would you guys recommend? I'm playing mostly acousticaly with my wife on guitar, friend on djibe, and friend on fiddle. Anyone have this mando? Any info you can give me? Thanks,

Congratulations! I've had one for years and like it a lot. Flatiron used to sell strings for them, but now I just use GHS octave mandolin strings.

Do you have any trouble tuning yours like an Octave? How do you tune yours up and use yours performance wise?

I tune GDAE in unisons. This is pretty much what the manufacturer had in mind so I don't know what kind of trouble you anticipated. I use mine primarily for melody playing.
