Weymann mandolin serial numbers

Well, now that another recent thread turned up some information on Weymann banjo serial numbers, I wondered if anyone knew a resource for Weymann bowlback serial numbers?

Here is a Weymann:

serial number 10689. The day-month-year method would place this in '89 which perhaps seems a little too vintage.

Any help would be appreciated.

I bought a Weymann #13817 on ebay. #Don't have it yet.
Wonder if anyone knows the date it was made?
