Mandolin on ice

We uncovered this pre-historic mandolin while digging in the frozen arctic region! #Must have belonged to a giant picker! #Just kidding! #It's been a terrible winter here in Ohio. #One of my customers asked me to e-mail this to them for their scrap book so I thought other cafe members might want to see this. #This is a 6' mandolin one of our customers made to hang on the exterior of our shop.

Well........it's a little stiff.........hard to play any "Hot" licks on this one!

Our own Roger Landes was music director for the ensemble that actually performed on these instruments.

Pretty cool. Perhaps he could give us the scoop on the sound. I understand that the owner liquidated the collection when the market got hot.
