I played this Fern at Supergrass and it definitely was THE mandolin. I've heard people say to wait for the one that speaks to you. Until I played this mandolin, I thought that that was just an expression.
The acoustical energy of my voice was enough to make the mandolin respond and vibrate in my hands. It almost felt alive.
I SO wish that I had $6,000 to put toward a mandolin right now. I know that not being able to buy this one is going to haunt me for a long time.
