We have 2 mandos in work right now. Back, sides and neck of both is Curly Maple. The top of # 21 is Engelman Spruce and the top of # 22 is Cedar.
Here is the inlay of # 21 ...

I think my K&G top was Cedar, it was # 19 I think it was on your site. Beautiful mandolin as you can get. not sure if cedar was reason I dont like the sound. what do u think about the tops

I love the humming bird inlay! Nice version of a flowerpot inlay too!

I am fairly sure that #19 was not a Cedar top.....should be red spruce?? or maybe German Fir ....

Those inlays are a neat change of pace. Oughta look really sharp when you get some shine on 'em!

Well Barry Like I said, I really dont remember, all I know is that its a beautiful mandolin, one of the best looking I have seen and owned. great workmanship, actually its for sale on cafe classifieds. would like to play a bulldog sometime.
