Hello all,
The saddle on my mandolin is leaning forward. I tried to pull/push it upright with no luck. I took it to a local luthier (who specializes in guitars) who took the bridge apart and showed me that one of the post's is slightly off, and as a result the saddle cannot sit perfectly upright. My question then is whether or not this is a problem, other than aesthetically. I wouldn't say the lean is severe, but definitely noticeable. What are the repercussions of this? Is it worth sending back to the builder (and being without a mando for 2 or 3 weeks) to have fixed? Is it possible to fix a post in the base if it is off, or are they lodged permanently once in there? Thanks.
