Any recommendations? I'm pretty happy with the shop I've been using, but they do mainly guitars. Is there anybody in the area especially good with mandolins?
Thanks

There are three pages so just click on the page forward button to see all of them.
Some of them listed are pretty well known.

Salmon -

I'd give Jim Prior at Pioneer Music in Portland. He's worked on my 1924 Snakehead and another Teens Gibson and done a fantastic job.

He is usually pretty well booked up and there is a wait but I always say that the most work flows to the most competent people.

I'd drop by the 2007 NW Handmade Musical Instrument Exhibit (http://www.nwmusicalinstrumentshow.org/) on Saturday and Sunday, April 28th and 29th 2007 and talk to a whole gob of potential repairpersons in one fell swoop.....

Or you can email me at MandoMedic@comcast.net and we can talk about what you need. I'm in Salem. Kenc

Andrew Mowry is in Bend Oregon. I don't know how far that is from you but his work is top drawer. He builds a great mandolin too. He is listed in the builders' data base. Lp

Thanks for the advice. I've been taking mine to The Twelth Fret on Belmont and they've done a good job with one crack repair and one refret. Just don't seem to do a lot of mando's.
