Troy sent me these photos. No, unfortunately this is not my mandolin nor have I seen it in person. In any case he is a seasoned violin builder with an interest in mandolin. His contact is harrisf5@gmail.com. His web site is not together quite yet.

VERY nice in all aspects in a tastefully simplistic - yet elegant - way!
Keep up the great work.

Nice!
I haven't seen tuner buttons like those before. What are they?

That's an elegant inlay. I like!
The tuners look like Waverlys with pearl buttons.

Thanks Jim for posting these photos. I was surprised by my inbox this morning with the sudden interest in my mandolins. The wood used is Engelmann spruce top, big leaf maple back, and red maple ribs and neck. I used to live in the northwest before moving to the northeast to study violin making. While in Washington, I build mandolins with the local variety of wood. Now, in New York, I mainly use red spruce and sugar or red maple. But I still occasionally build with big leaf. The tuners are Waverly with MOP buttons. Thanks for the compliments, Troy
