Does the neck through construction mean that there is a solid block of wood extending through the body? If so, does it contact the top or back?

The back is carved and graduated just like a tradition back. I glue the back "wings" on then carve back with neck attached. There is no neck joint (neck and block are same piece of wood) to lose energy. There is also no neck heal to get in the way of upper position playing. Hrer is a photo of inside.
