Winter wheat?

Anybody here remember a band from the 70's called "Winter Wheat?"

They played a lot around Bowling Green, Ky. at about the same time New Grass Revival was going through it's final incarnations. They were really a hot item in that region at that time.

I just came across this, wow, amazing that somebody here remembers Winter Wheat! I played banjo in the original band and after a year or two hiatus played mandolin in the band for several years through its last incarnation, including a show with New Grass Revival at the Capitol Arts Center in Bowling Green. Byron House also played banjo in Winter Wheat for a while. Man, does this bring back great memories.

I met a fella at College in Cincy around '83 wearing a Winter Wheat T-shirt. Struck up a conversion about it, turns out he was the mandolin player. Don't remember his name, but thanks for the flashback.
