Pretty darn good too! The mandolin was in the same shape way back then.

I believe the banjo player is Noah Crase. I heard him several times in '69 and I think I hear some of his typical triplets in the banjo solo here.

Guitar player could be Yates Green, but I'm just guessing.

Joe Stuart filling in on guitar with Joe Drumright on banjo and Bobby Hicks, fiddle during his 2nd stint with Monroe in 1959 not 1956. That's why the mandolin is looking a little rougher on the finish. Connie Gately should have been the guitar player but if he pulled a no show or was sick Monroe would call on Bluegrass Boys extra playing any instrument Joe Stuart to fill in.

Monroe had a lot of worries in his lifetime but pick click weren't one of them!

The action back then was so high that he never hit the fingerboard!

Evan, That sounds like Jesse McReynolds; his Stiver has the action set very high for cross-pickin'. His fingertips must be like steel by now!
