I really quite like that,
It looks as old timey as you could wish for.
What kit is it?
Sorry it tells me that in the post title, I am indeed stupid!

What did you use for stain and finish?

Overall I am pleased with the sound. It does have good volume and the oval hole resonance I was after. It even has a fairly decent chop which was also one of my goals. I believe I now have an oval hole that will hold up in a noisy jam. Tone is the main weakness, it does have a good even tone across all the strings, just not its strong point. I used tone bars with a small cross brace. I hope it may open up more after a while.
I used water based aniline dyes for the color and nitro cellulose lacquer for the finish.

Avi:
Many thanks. I bookmarked your blogsite. Will be of great help with bracing the flat-top I'm building at the moment.
How did folks do stuff without the "Cafe'"?
Tumbleweed: That's a super looking mando. Just found out about the 1V site today. Maybe next. Prices are sure right.

Nice job, and I particulary like your headstock shape.
Does anyone have a link to the 1V site.
Cheers.
