If I had a clock on my mandolins ("clock" - like on a diesel marine engine), I know I'd find that I log W A Y more hours on my less-expensive ones, and W A Y fewer on my $$$ ones - it's probably a perfect reverse correlation, if I graphed it.
And yet, even my Breedlove Quartz KF ("FranKenstein") gives pleasure for time spent - love the wider fingerboard and frets and radius - excellent fingerboard for my hand. Neck is a little too symetrical. but hey - it's my beater! And rugged . . . ? YES - I dropped it on a basalt rock face (accident!) and it didn't even lose tuning!
Anyone else like Breedlove - especially at its price point?
