Someone was saying they had never seen a Givens guitar. Sorry about these bad photos; I'll try to get better ones later. Recognize this headstock logo?

This is a D-18 copy, with mahogany back and sides. Slim electric guitar profile neck with great playability and wonderful clear tone.

The proud owner bought it used in Idaho and I guess Givens was there. Said he asked Givens if he could lower the action or do some set-up work on it, and Givens didn't take that too kindly.

Thx for sharing the pic, Don. #I didn't realize Givens had built any guitars! #

The angle of the picture makes it appear that the pickup may be plugged directly into the wall socket! #Obviously it's not..but interesting nonetheless. #http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

It's a really fine guitar. My friend in the picture owns a bunch of guitars including a 42 D-18 and a couple Brazilian 28s. It's a toss-up for me between the 42 D-18 and this Givens. It's got a really great voice--clear and focused. Not at all boomy. I'd buy it if he'd sell it, but I don't think he'll ever sell it-- the D-18 either. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mad.gif

Sometimes I wish he'd plug that pickup into the wall. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif

The B-string looks like nylon. Is that the case, or is it just me?
