On this site Bill Monroe is often mentioned. I have one of his "greatest hits" recordings. But ... I didn't really get to appreciate him more fully until I could watch him live on old recordings via YouTube, which I discovered just a few months ago; this site was around much longer than that, I know. I don't know the purpose of this post, but I would like to say that actually viewing the performer really changes the whole way you approach his or her or their music. I liked what I heard on the recording, but I did not have any idea what it was like to watch the man play onstage.
