We did "Silent Night" at the Rescue Mission gig last night. My son, who is 16 years old and therefore knows everything, said we sounded pretty good. I would have liked to have "The Bluegrass Allstars" as my backup, though.

Check Frank Wakefield's version called 'Nilent Sight', in D major. He throws in a well-placed diminished voicing (on 'Heavenly') and plays over an E chord on 'Sleep' - two little touches which make the tune's reading pretty hip.

Is Skaggs playing the Skaggs DMM? Everybody's playing new Gibson's and it didn't look like either of Skaggs' Loars.

I think Sam Bush is enjoying it most there! Great clip. I don't think they're trying to be the best Jingle Bells ever, just sincerely good. Thanks Gibson!

I think they are just trying to have fun, and with the talent there, they will naturally be sincerely good. Man, I wish I had been a fly on the wall at that session!

Too bad G!bson doesn't make an upright bass.

Where was Jerry Douglas?

Ricky was just missing the black piece of electrical tape.

It looked like fun. Thanks for posting.
Best,
Ken
