New form of mandobabe

Here's an old mandolin I purchased last week in Duluth, MN. I have seen guitars with scenes painted on them and I once saw a picture of a Gibson Loar with a parrot on the front and back but I have not seen a mandolin with a lady painted on the top.

I would be interested to find out if this is one of a kind or if there a many of them out there? This is a student mandolin as there is paper glued between the frets indicating where the various notes fall.

Anonio Tsai's would be inlaid and not painted on. Anyway these appear to be photos of an old mandolin.

It's an old mandolin -- probably from the 30's? If anyone can date it, please do so. Both the top & back are flat and the tuning pins are above the circular gears. Inside is ink-stamped "Lot 7539" No other markings are evident.

Also, where can I find an old clamshell tailpiece cover to replace the missing cover?
