Great Mandolin from a Great Guy! I know you'll love it.

Randy called me yesterday to let me know that my Fern was ready to pick up. He did a refret, fixed the pickguard, adjusted the bridge and a complete setup. Man, I can't wait to get it!

2Point, that is a nice one. Amandalyn's has that dry, popin' bluegrass tone and response that Randy Wood is famous for. I'm about to strip the lacquer/color off of her 2-Point's neck and tung oil it.

Yes, Randy still makes the 2 point A style. All you have to do is ask and wait a little over a year. He said he mostly makes the Fs but likes to make a batch of these once in awhile.

'Looks just like mine (2002 - I waited 10 months). I had Randy do a fern inlay on the headstock - he said he hadn't tried before but it came out pretty cool. One of these days, I'll figure out how to resize a picture and download it.
