Killing some time and keeping busy while my Mom is in ICU this week.
I've been piddlin' in the garage changing the work area setup. I designed and made a new arm rest for my mandolin. This one is Lacewood with a Tung Oil finish. I can't wait to do some more.

I need to adjust the clamp some, but it fits fine.

I built a leaded glass door of Aussie Lacewood and Wenge several years ago......nice wood!

Try it on a 2X2 or a 4X4 first. They are square to start with....

Mom's doing OK. She had emergency surgery Monday and is doing much better than expected. However, she is a high risk patient and things could change.
I'm just trying to stay busy and not think about it too much. I've a few projects going to keep my mind occupied. you know, "busy hands are happy hands".
