Here's a few pictures of a coupla oval hole mandolins I am currently playing. #The oval hole mandolin is a stellar Brentup 21V with a German Spruce top that is the best sounding oval hole mandolin I've ever played. #Tone and volume to die for and the open GG strings ring on forever. #Nice "tubby" and "old-timey" sound and the custom unvarnished neck plays with ease. #The big brother to the Brentrup is a Trillium Octave with a 22.5" scale. #This instrument is sweet as can be and LOUD. #It has a California Redwood top with Claro Walnut back and sides and the redwood top is remarkable insofar as tone is concerned. #If you are looking for an octave and haven't played one of Bob Abrams mandolins you need to get in touch with him.
