Here are four F5s that I finished up this week. It's exciting to reach the culmination of several months' work, so I have to share. Thanks for the bandwidth, and thanks for looking!

Great looking mandos.
Suggestion on pictures....Open a free account on photobucket.com and reference them from here. Because the size reduction causes the stepping I can tell the pics do not do them justice.

Thanks Tom--that's funny, I don't see any image degradation on my machine. If there is, I apologize, and I'll have them on my website in a few days.

Those look great, Andrew. I like the quilt back one the best for looks! I bet they all sound great too.

I am at a loss for words. Gonna be some kind of happy people here in the next few days. I hope we get a full and unbiased reveiw from each of the new parents. Lp

Super clean work, Andrew. I like the restraint you have shown in the design. An elegant minimalism.

You know, the more 'blonde' finishes I see, the more I like them. Just think how pretty in 50 years!

Hey!
I hardly get to see any of the pictures here as it is, with my slooooowwww..... backwoods dialup connection. Those huge files people put in photobucket can't be seen at all around here, most of the time.

Nice work, Andrew! (what I can see of it so far...)

Interesting comment about the "stepping".

I'm on a coal fired dial-up, and those pictures are coming through razor sharp to me.

Beautiful instruments all.

Oh, and lovely work, of course!

Thanks a lot for the kind comments everyone!

Yes, Brad, I'm going to give the shop a good cleaning tomorrow, maybe make a few new jigs, and then I'm on to yours!

Hey, they look great from my computer here at work. I'll have to compare the two to see what's different. Maybe it has to do with screen resolution or something.

It's so great to see someone addressing the extension problem in a tasteful way. To me, there's nothing uglier or more ridiculous than all the scooped and scalloped extensions! Thanks for showing the way... nice work!

Andrew,

you are a freak of nature when it comes to mandos.

I definetly agree. What are they good for anyway? You even hear Thile knocking his pick on his. No one can seem to let them go just because the classic Loar's had em.

Way to be part of the revolution Mr. Mowry

Thanks again everyone for the encouragement. By the way, I'm sure I'm not the first one to use the shorter extension, but it appeals to me because the way I play I'll certainly never need those highest notes!
